The Dubai Rugby 7s Tournament occurs either the last weekend of November or the first week of December. Make sure you have Travel Insurance for playing or spectating.

The most critical Travel Insurance here is Medical Expenses and Repatriation whilst you are playing and for the rest of the trip.

UK Players 

5- 8 days -   £83.50

9-12 days -  £137.00

Annual Multi-Trip: £127.77 (allows you to play as much Rugby on tours and overseas tournaments throughout the year and on trips when you are not playing Rugby).

1. Does JS Travel Insurance cover me when I play Rugby (or Netball and Cricket)? 

It covers the whole trip from the day you depart to the day you return when playing if you get injured or need Medical Assistance.

Our Provider will cover the days you play and train. (You can only select Adventures Part A. GET A QUOTE.

2. Does the policy cover me for Cancellation if I test positive for COVID-19 before I leave and cannot go?

If you test positive for UK residents within 14 days, we will pay on Cancellation Gold: £3,000 or Platinum: £7,500. Gold is probably the most appropriate here. 

3. Am I covered for Travel Insurance outside of playing Rugby, Netball or Cricket?

Yes, from when you depart to when you return. Please Note: make sure your arrival date is when you arrive back in the UK; if you have an overnight flight, don't put the arrival date as when your plane departs, but when it comes to your final destination. 

4.. What are the Tournament Insurance requirements for teams?

Teams must sign the Tournament Rules to say that they repay the Tournament and have Full Medical Travel Insurance.

6. Can JS cover the entire Team playing in the Tournament?

Yes, we can. We can cover all the players and also the coaches. Note that the premium for the coaches will be less as they are not playing. Please get in touch with us at support@jsinsurance.co.uk or call 0800 043 0020, and we can arrange a policy for the whole Team. 

7. Is there a Reciprocal Health Agreement between the UK and UAE (United Arab Emirates)?

No, there isn't; you can not use your GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card); therefore, you must have Travel Insurance with good Medical cover for playing Rugby, Netball and Cricket. 

8. Are the travel insurance premiums for Netball and Cricket less?

Yes, they are, as there is less risk of injury by the very nature of the Sports. 

9. Is there Personal Liability on Dubai's JS Insurance rugby policies?

No, this policy excludes Personal Liability.

10. How long has JS Travel Insurance provided Travel Insurance for Rugby, Netball and Cricket Tournaments?

11. Can I get coverage if I have a Pre-existing Medical Condition?

Yes, you can; please ensure you add them through this Provider, and you will be covered whilst playing. GET A QUOTE 

1. Medical Tents:

• Located near the main entrance of the stadium, the medical tents are fully equipped to handle minor medical emergencies and provide immediate assistance.
• Trained medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, are present to assess and treat injuries or illnesses promptly.
• The tents are stocked with essential medical supplies, medications, and equipment to address various health concerns.

2. First Aid Stations:

• Multiple first aid stations are conveniently located throughout the stadium, making them easily accessible from all seating areas.
• Each station is staffed with trained first aid personnel who can provide immediate medical attention for minor injuries, such as cuts, bruises, and sprains.
• Basic first aid supplies, including bandages, antiseptic wipes, and pain relievers, are available at these stations.

3. Ambulances 

• Several ambulances are stationed at the stadium, ready to respond to medical emergencies and transport patients to nearby hospitals if necessary.
• Paramedics and EMTs are on standby to provide advanced medical care during transit.
• The ambulances are equipped with life-saving equipment, including defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and intravenous fluids.

​4. Hydration stations

1. Are located at various points around the stadium to ensure attendees stay hydrated throughout the event.

2. These stations provide free access to clean drinking water, helping prevent dehydration, especially during warm weather.

5. Medical information kiosks

• Are set up at key locations within the stadium to provide attendees with health-related information and assistance. Trained medical professionals are available to answer questions, offer advice on medical conditions, and direct individuals to the appropriate medical facilities if needed.

Netball and Cricket Tournaments are now at the Dubai 7s; we can cover you if you play in any teams again.

Out in the desert, there are 15 pitches, 5,000 players participating over three days and over 100,000 spectators attending.  

There are competitions for professional athletes, club players, and veterans. There is something for everyone—a party atmosphere for spectators with DJs (James Haskell).
