Preparation for the Tournament
- Start planning early. This includes booking flights or transportation, arranging accommodation and registering for the tournament.
- Pack for all scenarios. Bring your volleyball gear, practice clothes, and competition uniforms. Don't forget comfortable clothes for travelling and relaxing, toiletries, and any medication you might need. Pack an extra pair of shoes in case you get wet, and be sure to check the weather for the destination
- Get prepared mentally and physically. In the weeks leading up to the tournament, ensure you get enough sleep and eat healthy foods to get your body the energy it needs to perform its best. You may want to consider practising drills or exercises focusing on the specific skills you will use in the tournament.
Tournament Time
- Warm up properly before each match. This will help to avoid injuries.
- Stay focused and positive. It is easy to get discouraged if you make a mistake but remember to stay focussed on the next point.
- Have fun! This is a chance to play the sport you love and compete against other teams. Enjoy the experience and make the most of it.
Extra Tips
- Explore the city. If you have some downtime between matches, take some time to explore the city where the tournament is being held.
- Bond with your teammates. Spend time together outside of volleyball to build your team spirit.
