- Pack your essential tinnitus management tools such as sound therapy devices, white noise machines, or earplugs.
- Download Apps with calming sounds, guided meditations and breathing exercises can be helpful distractions and promote relaxation.
- Pack books, music, or games to keep your mind occupied and distracted from tinnitus, especially in stressful situations.
During Your Trip
- DiscussStress can worsen Tinnitus so practise relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation or light exercise.
- Avoid loud noises, concerts or nightclubs which can trigger or worsen tinnitus. If unavoidable use earplugs designed for musicians to filter out harsh sounds while preserving speech.
- Dehydration
- Pack your essential tinnitus management tools such as sound therapy devices, white noise machines, or earplugs.
- Chewing gum, sucking on hard candy or performing the Valsalva manoeuvre can help equalise pressure during take-off and landing, which can trigger tinnitus for some people.
- Try to stick to your sleep schedule routine as much as possible. Pack sleep aids such as ear plugs, an eye mask and a white noise machine if needed.
Every individual experiences Tinnitus differently. Experiment with different strategies and find what works for you.
