Paragliding (Competition) Travel Insurance
If you plan to participate in a Paragliding (Europe Only - Competition), we can provide you with a Travel Insurance policy.
We offer the policies on a non-professional basis. Professional is if you are being paid or receiving any element of sponsorship, fees or prize money exceeding £500.
This policy is only available in Europe and is provided by our partner Adventures.
Please select Paragliding and this will automatically cover you for Amateur Competitions.
Please Note: We can cover the days you will participate in Paragliding (Amateur Competitions) if you already have a Travel Insurance policy. When getting a quote and purchasing a policy, you must take out Adventures Party A Only, so the cover is valid.

Types of Paragliding Competitions
Accuracy - Precision Landing
It would be best to land the Paraglide within a 20cm radius area as accurately as possible. It is a bit like a game of darts, but you are the dart, aiming for the bullseye as your landing location.
Cross Country
This is a race to reach designated points in the air and accumulate as many as 1000 points.
Hike and Fly
You Fly! Once you reach the designated take-off point, you will hike up a mountain carrying all your Paragliding Equipment.
Acrobatics
These are stunts done in the air and, like Cross-Country, are probably the most dangerous of the competitions. They are often done in non-mountainous areas to reduce the risk of accidents.
