Common Injuries
Lacrosse is a contact sport; as with any contact sport, injuries can be sustained when playing.
To help prevent serious injury, players are encouraged to wear protective gear and clothing, including helmets.
Before You Travel
- Destination. Where do you want to travel to? Lacrosse Tournaments are held in all sorts of places, from the beaches of California to the historic sites of Europe. Consider your budget, interests and the time of year when choosing a destination.
- Tournament. Once you have chosen a destination, you will need to find a tournament that is a good fit for you. There are tournaments for all ages and skill levels, so you should be able to find one that is a challenge for you.
- Logistics. Once you have found a tournament, you will need to start planning the logistics of your trip. This includes booking flights or transportation, finding a hotel, and packing your lacrosse gear. Be sure to check with the airline or travel company about the fees for checking a lacrosse stick, as they can be oversized for some standard baggage allowances.
Additional Tips
- Pack light. You don't want to be weighed down by a lot of luggage, so pack light and only bring the essentials.
- Be prepared for the weather. The weather can vary depending on where you are travelling to, so be sure to pack accordingly.
- Bring plenty of water. Lacrosse is a demanding sport, so it is essential to stay hydrated. Please bring a reusable water bottle and fill it up during the day.
- Have fun. The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the experience of travelling and playing Lacrosse.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
If you have been Lacrosse before and may have had an injury or accident whilst participating in Lacrosse, you must declare this when purchasing a policy.
We have several providers who can offer travel insurance, including Lacrosse and if you have a pre-existing medical condition.
