Popular Destinations in Hungary
Budapest
Marvel at the beautiful architecture in Budapest. Most of it was built in the 19th Century, and taking themes from Baroque, Neoclassical, Eclectic and Art Nouveau, you’re sure to get lost in the amazingly designed streets.
Budapest also has many thermal springs that Hungarians swear by their healing properties, so take a dip and relax.
Vac
Located at the foot of Naszaly Mountain, Vac is a great place to experience Hungarian culture and art. It is a sight to behold, based on the bays of the Danube River.
Like Budapest, there is also an abundance of hot springs; one you should visit is situated behind the famous church of Seven Chapels and is said to have mysterious healing powers.
Make sure to tour a Hungarian winery, with many having up to 100 wines to choose from and sample.
Pecs
Near the Croatian border, at the foot of the Mecsek Mountains, Pecs is seen as a melting pot of multiculturalism. It boasts a peaceful union between Hungarians, Serbians, Croatians, Germans, and other nations, giving it the nickname ‘the borderless city’.
There are plenty of museums for you to lap up the culture, winding streets with gorgeous architecture, and many pubs and restaurants.

Travel Risks in Hungary
Hungary has a generally safe environment, with crime rates low and friendliness high!
There is always a risk of petty theft, such as pickpocketing and bag snatching, so always be aware of your belongings and keep an eye on your valuables.
Make sure you are not overpaying for drinks in a bar. Always pay with cash if you can, as many places will try to rip you off if they see you are unfamiliar with the area.
