ECB Permission to Tour Overseas
Before you can tour, you will need permission from the English Cricket Board and obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from them.
Go to ECB.co.uk and search "Touring Abroad" to apply for an NOC. Like Rugby Tours for Amateur Clubs, if your Cricket Club is a member of the ECB, you must get permission before you go on a Cricket Tour.
School Cricket Tours Travel Insurance
We provide Travel Insurance for many schools on Cricket Tours and Junior Teams.
Before embarking on a tour, each school needs to have a "Risk Assessment" done by a qualified person from the Department of Education.
This is a pre-requisite for all sports for all sports tours for schools.
Other permissions may be required from the school's local authority and the local cricket association.
20/20 Tournaments
Last Man Stands
This is a worldwide 20/20 Cricket Amateur League for many countries, with over 800 teams in the UK.
Many teams go on tour to venues in the UK and overseas, and they must have travel insurance.
There is also a World Championship for Amateur Teams, held once a year for the Last Man Stands. Make sure you have Cricket Travel Insurance for this tournament.
Pre Season Cricket Training Training Camps
Teams often go to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or South Africa in February and March when the weather improves, which is back in time for the Season that starts in April.
More challenging but quite popular is Mohali in India.
Desert Springs in Spain is a popular destination for schools and countries to go on pre-season cricket training camps, and La Manga is also in Spain.
La Manga has a Cricket Festival at the end of the Season. This year, it will be from September 28th to September 30th, 2023. This has been running for five years now.
