Popular Destinations in The Balearic Islands
Mallorca
Mallorca is also famed for its wine and beaches. You can take a wine tour of the vineyards and taste one or two of the local wines.
Menorca
Menorca is a tame island in the Mediterranean, often overlooked compared to its lively counterparts such as Ibiza and Mallorca.
It is one of Spain's Balearic Islands and enjoys a warm and tropical climate, perfect for Swimming and Scuba Diving in the summer.
Often seen as a cliché 'perfect island', it is not to be missed. Its gentle landscapes are ideal for activities such as walking, Cycling or Horse Riding; with no steep hills, everyone of different fitness levels can enjoy it.
There are also plenty of historical monuments and museums if you love immersing yourself in the culture of your holiday.
Ibiza
The island's historic heart, Ibiza Town, is a must-visit for anyone staying there. Filled with rich cultural monuments and a historic Old Town, it boasts a unique character compared to other parts of the island.
Cala Llonga boasts shallow waters and kid-friendly play parks dotted around the coast.
It is also located near the bustling neighbouring towns. In the summer, the city has been known to throw family-friendly festivals.
San Antonio is a mecca for young travellers looking for the best drinking spots. The streets are jam-packed with bars and nightclubs, restaurants and cafes with cheap eats for young people.
Formentera
Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands, plastered with beautiful beaches. Tourism is still prominent on the lesser-known of the islands, but it will be less busy than its neighbouring counterparts.
Perfect for water sports like Snorkelling and Kayaking, these clear waters let you explore their incredible marine life underwater or view from above.
It is also a short ferry ride away from Ibiza, so you can easily spend a few days here and return to the city life's hustle and bustle.

Travel Risks in The Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands are generally safe. Pickpockets can still operate in built-up areas, so take any precautions as usual and continuously monitor your belongings.
On Ibiza Island, it can get quite rowdy, potentially causing violence. If you are drinking, know how to get home and where you are.
Drink spiking is very common on these islands; even bartenders have been reported to spike young women. Ensure you see your bartender making your drink, and never leave it unattended.
Bring plenty of water and suncream for a beach day, as the Balearic Islands can get too sweltering.
