FAQ Question :
Does travel insurance include cover for an airline or tour operator going out of business?
No
If a tour operator or airline goes out of business, then ABTA or ATOL cover you for any compensation for pre booked travel or accommodation, which have been booked as a package holiday.
The independent traveller cover now available on an AXA Superplus and Annual policy will now cover you for most situations, when you have purchased flights and accomodation independently of each other.
